f-cpu_logo/readme.txt created by whygee@f-cpu.org 20150414 version 20140416 The official F-CPU logo was created by Nicolas Matringe and voted by the team. On 20150401, I tried to reuse the original f-cpu_logo.obj file (that I digitised from the original bitmap around 2000) but tgif wouldn't read it because the file format changed in subtle ways in 15 years... I have manually extracted the coordinates text from the .obj and pasted them in a SVG file. I also optimised the paths and all kind of details, I adjusted slight misalignments from the original vector version, so the new one is subtly more polished and regular, it should display better. The resulting SVG file is easier to use and pretty compact, most web browsers should display it and scale with no effort. The SVG is used for all the logos created (or derived) in 2015 and after. I generated several bitmaps and manipulated the low resolution version to create some icons. Then I used ImageMagick's "convert" command to generate the favicon.ico file : convert f-cpu_logo.16x16_transparent.png f-cpu_logo.32x32_transparent.png -alpha background favicon.ico yg
